General Summary:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will have a diverse set of responsibilities and be required to work closely with all members of the MediSpend team. The individual will be responsible for executing on various assignments and confidential projects as directed. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, attentive to detail, able to multitask and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within the Human Resources function
  • Maintain personnel files and manage the company HRIS ensuring that the system contains the most current information
  • Provide support as needed throughout the recruiting and interview process. Tasks to include, but not limited to: post jobs; schedule interviews; create interview templates; conduct reference and background checks
  • Assist with new hire onboarding procedures. Create onboarding schedule and oversee welcoming and initial orientation
  • Assist in updating and administering human resources policies and procedures for the company including the employee handbook
  • May prepare and distribute as necessary, internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits or company policies
  • Create meeting requests, agendas and notes as needed
  • Coordinate Town Hall meetings. Collect and consolidate content into draft PPT
  • Work with hiring management to maintain job descriptions, job postings, and company organizational charts
  • Develop and maintain a professional rapport with internal departments and external relations, acting as liaison when needed. Possess the ability to properly respond and/or redirect inquiries via email and phone

Competencies Required:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business or other related disciplines
  • 2 years of HR or related administrative experience preferred
  • Previous HRIS experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with the ability to learn new programs quickly

A day in the life:

You are a Java Developer at MediSpend.  You collaborate with senior developers to build software within architecture and design guidelines.  You work closely with Product Owners to determine why a feature is not producing the expected result.  You develop a deeper understanding on how to build applications that perform well with large data volumes.  You participate in code reviews prior to code check in.  You add 3 more unit’ tests to gain 100% coverage.  You leverage emerging technologies to build new product features.  You refactor portions of legacy applications to remove technical debt.

What you bring to the table:

You’re a professional with a blend of practical experience, education, and achievement.  You’re efficient at getting your points across in written and verbal mediums.  Agile and Scrum methodologies in a distributed environment are very familiar.  Meeting and exceeding customer expectations is an inherent passion.  Experience with the JVM ecosystem required.  Server-side programming skills with Java, Groovy, Scala, or Kotlin.  Exposure to Spring and Hibernate expected.  Familiarity with React JavaScript frameworks a plus.  Experience building applications with diverse storage architectures (RDBMSs, NoSQL stores, document stores, object stores (AWS S3).  Decent Linux skills needed to independently install and configure third party open source projects.  Basic AWS expertise is helpful.

This is a junior to mid-level position with responsibilities including building new features and maintaining existing applications.  Will entertain outstanding new graduate candidates with BS/MS Computer Science degrees.

A day in the life:

As MediSpend’s software Quality Assurance leader, you attend the sprint planning meeting to evaluate the new features being developed in the next sprint.  You manage the construction and execution of detailed test cases.  You will estimate release timelines considering resources and features.  You will work directly with development partner teams to deliver product integrations to market.  You compile sprint and release reports to detail product quality.  You lead our post sprint CAPA process.  You work closely with our Scrum Master to manage day to day software delivery.  You present frameworks and methodologies to drive test automation.  You evangelize the Quality Systems Manual during client onsite audits.

What you bring to the table:

You’re a professional with a great blend of practical experience and a demonstrated passion and ability to learn the detailed operation of our product suite. You’re efficient at getting your points across in written and verbal mediums.  Agile and Scrum methodologies in a distributed environment are second nature.  Jira and Zephyr experience helpful.  You thrive in a remote work environment.

You have built and operated high performing distributed Quality Assurance teams responsible for multiple products.  You’re passionate about software product quality, and have demonstrated the ability to optimize the people, process, and technologies required to achieve it.  You are strategic and tactical, equally adept at building budgets, redefining processes, and getting the release out in the next few days.  You enjoy being hands-on and embrace new and emerging technologies.  Experience with modern testing techniques and frameworks for web-based applications is assumed.

General Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Senior Business Analyst (BA) will have a diverse set of responsibilities and will be required to work closely with all members of the MediSpend team. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for creating business requirements to support a product roadmap of releases, defects, enhancements across multiple products and interacting with customers.

The Senior Business Analyst will play a vital role in the software development life cycle by taking high-level business requirements and turning them into detailed, user stories for an Agile/Scrum-based development methodology. The Senior Business Analyst should have good understanding of compliance, commercial, and clinical processes for the Life Sciences industry.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with customers and key stakeholders on requirements gathering and finalization related to user interface, feature enhancements, technical requirements/architecture including documentation of acceptance criteria for development purposes, for one or multiple products.
  • Perform business, technical, and user requirement analysis and develop detailed requirements (business, user, process, performance, system requirements – functional and non-functional) and establish traceability to overall product roadmap / development priorities.
  • Develop wireframes and mockups using commonly available tools such as Axure or similar tools.
  • Create presentations for discussing product concepts or proposed features with internal and external stakeholders including customers.
  • Partner with Product Managers to groom the product backlog and participate in release and sprint planning process and sessions.
  • Present user stories to the development team during sprint planning and review meetings and drive development. Report development updates in a timely manner.
  • Document test cases and be the point person for testing of new features and releases.
  • Engage with Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to establish and maintain knowledge base.
  • Document release notes for the product and maintain the product management Confluence page for releases.
  • Review product related incidents, analyze issues, identify their source and log defects as required.
  • Deliver reports, dashboards, presentations and product metrics (as agreed upon by the product team).
  • Assist in setting up of user groups and customer advisory boards for gathering customer feedback.

Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information technology or related field is required with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of working experience in roles that bridge business and technology including 5+ years in Agile software development environment for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products.
  • Strong UX design sense to clearly present wireframes and mock-ups for user interface discussion.
  • Knowledge of Life Sciences industry and regulatory environment, experience with HCP/HCO arrangements a plus.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
